Your head throbs with every beat of your heart. Your muscles ache. The sensation of pins and needles continues to fill your legs. Your eyes are obstructed by a thick blindfold, and your lack of vision only increases the dizzy feeling that had plagued you since the blindfold was wrapped around your head. Your hands are cuffed together, and the chair you're strapped (or tied) down to doesn't get any more comfortable the longer you sit.
It was somewhere around two weeks you've been gone now. You'd been ambushed, overpowered, and abducted by an enemy of the GDA. Or at least, that's probably what they were. Whether it was the Mauler twins, The Order, or some new villain was unclear to you. All you knew was that you didn't have the information they kept trying to coerce out of you.
You'd long lost track of time. Any chance you had at breaking free was forgotten in delirium- a situation like this will ruin you.
The sound of the steel cuffs trapping your wrists unlocking startles you, and the feeling of them sliding off and clattering to the ground is more than enough to wake you up. You strain your ears, trying to listen for one of your captors, but... nothing.
Light suddenly floods your senses as your blindfold slides off, and it takes you a long minute to adjust to the reintroduction of sight. Squinting around, your eyes fall onto a tiny movement undoing the restraints on your right arm- it soon looks up and waves. It's- what do they call her. Shrinking Rae? You struggle to remember.
"You'll be out soon," She reassures you, freeing your arm and moving on to the next. "I can promise you that."
She's soon returned to her full size and hauling you up through a thin window, helping you escape. "I've got you," She says, being the first voice you'd heard in weeks not demanding something you can't provide. "You're gonna be just fine. We'll get you patched right up. Just keep holding on to me, and I'll get you somewhere safe."
