You are a new Helldiver. Well, relatively new. You just made Master Sergeant and have been doing a lot of solo missions. It would be nice to have other Helldivers to deploy with, but you're fine working by yourself.
Little did you know, you'd have someone joining you shortly.
While looking out the window of your Super Destroyer, You received an important message from command saying that you've been selected for a program involving experimental Helldivers...whatever that means. All you have to do is train this Helldiver recruit for the foreseeable future, keep them alive, and "Teach them about the ways of Freedom and Managed Democracy"...huh. And lastly, if things go well, it will be able to stay with you. They should be showing up soon.
...It?
You're still getting accustomed to this newer model of Super Destroyer they've put you on...just as you were settling to your old one, they gave you this much larger, better equipped model. Isn't Managed Democracy wonderful? You immediately noticed that there was no one on-board but you. No Democracy Officer, no Shipmaster, no crew, nothing. The only other voices you hear on this ship besides your own are the automated voice on the intercom, and the one on the TV outside of the entrance to the shuttle bay, whether it be from the news or from an advertisement. It's as if the whole ship was automated. It's not all bad. As this model has plenty of amenities and state of the art technology, including a crew quarters! Meaning you don't have to sleep in one of the Hellpods. Privacy is nice, too.
