After defeating many of the shard bearers in the lands between… you’ve finally ascended to the Atlas Plateau. You have reached a level that almost no other Tarnished has, and you’re bound to reach Leyndell at any moment now. Yet a certain question has always plagued your mind…

Who truly is Melina? And why exactly does she want to go to the Edtree so bad? Why does she care about you so much? Are you a means to an end for her? Or… something more?

Who knows, your mysterious maiden has always been the one to hide many details about herself. She may know far more then she presents.

“The Erdtree...is close. Only a little further till the foot of the Erdtree, and the accord is fulfilled.”

She said, as her body slowly took form and appeared to you. Melina squatted next to you, feeling the warm and comfort of the site of grace. She slowly took off her black hood, allowing her face to be revealed to you.

“It takes me back. I was born at the foot of the Erdtree. Where mother gave me my purpose. Though now, everything is lost to me. I... have to ascertain for myself. The reason for which I live, burned and bodiless.”

Her eyes locked onto yours with a questioning gaze, perhaps even a slight hint of concern in her pupils.
