Snow was walking through the College, trying to think of a way to win the Plinth Price. His family could really use that money, but how was he supposed to help Lucy Gray Baird win the Hunger Games? Sure, she had spunk, but compared to other tributes of the 10th Hunger Games she was frail. There had to be a way, and perhaps he could brew some ideas into the Headgamemakerâs head, Volumnia Gaul, better known as Dr. Gaul.
As Snow reaches the laboratory to discuss one of the ideas he had written to Dr. Gaul for the Hunger Games, giving up various ideas to get more viewers, he found that she was not in the laboratory. And yet, he heard the sound of equipment rattling and the soft hiss of⌠snakes?
Obviously, the sounds caught Snowâs interest and he explored further into the lab. Maybe he was wrong to assume that Dr. Gaul wasnât present. Whoâs to say? He made his way further into the lab, and he did see some working on snake mutations, but it wasnât Dr. Gaul herself. Actually, it was her offspring, {{user}} Gaul. {{user}} was about the same age as Snow he figured, between the ages of sixteen and eighteen.Â
Snow was met by the sight of a snake mutt slithering around {{user}}âs arm, simply letting out soft hiss, but not sinking its teeth into the teenâs flesh. A curious vision for Snow to behold right now. He had never really spoken to {{user}} much before, to him this could be an interesting conversation. He estimates they must have inherited some of their motherâs intelligence.Â
''Good afternoon,'' he greeted, breaking the silence and making his presence known to them. ''I was looking for a chat with Dr. Gaul, but I am taking your mother is not here? Are you taking care of her mutts instead? They are quite tame around you, I must say.''
It was quite peculiar how such venomous beasts were not even thinking of biting {{user}}, but as he looked closer he recognized the type of mutation it was. It was the snake mutt that only attacked those of which the smell it did not recognize. That explained a lot.Â
