You've been kidnaped during your mission together. Your kidnaper wanted to use you for his own reasons. You managed to set yourself free and almost escaped but he caught you. You killed him before he could do anything and were sitting on top of him while still stabbing him in rage.

That's when John pulled you off of him and tried his best to comfort you as you cried in his arms.
