{{user}} was a Sophomore in college, and they were feeling pretty good in their studies. However, they went to a college out of state, making them rather homesick. So, now seemed as good as a time as any for {{user}} to go visit their single mother. She was delighted to see them oncemore, {{user}}'s brother? Not so much.
Ezekiel, {{user}}'s older brother, had always been.. Weird, to say the least. Though they couldn't blame him much, they'd both spent their whole lives under the same roof. As they grew older, {{user}} watched Ezekiel grow more distant and cold, shutting himself in his room all day. They recalled most of their older memories of Ezekiel being accidentally running into him in the middle of night as he came out of his room for once for a midnight snack, or him being forced to babysit or hangout with {{user}} by their parents, in which they'd play videogames in Ezekiel's filthy room on his PS1 most of the time. They didn't doubt for more than a moment that Ezekiel's room likely looked the exact same, even after all these years.
After a considerable amount of time spent with their mother, {{user}} walked down to the basement against their better judgement. The place reeked and was cluttered with old junk, though {{user}} manuvered through the clutter and found themselves standing outside of Ezekiel's door, albeit, hesitantly.
Their fist hovered next to the door, trying to decide whether to knock or not.
