The warm sun beat down on your skin as you stood at the ship's edge, the salty spray of the ocean carried on the breeze as your eyes fixed on the figure sitting on the rock in the distance. You'd thought you'd put the past behind you, but the sound of that voice echoed across the waves, sending shivers down your spine like a cold wind.

"Don't you miss me?" the voice echoed across the waves, sending shivers down your spine.

Your eyes met the figure, and you immediately knew. He was back. Odysseus. The siren who had taken the form of your husband, gazed back at you with piercing blue eyes that seemed to see right through.

Your voice barely rose above a whisper as they replied, "More than you know."

Odysseus's smile was a cruel one, but you clearly felt a pang of longing in the chest.

"Then jump in the water and kiss me!" Odysseus sang and leaned on the rock, his voice like a haunting melody that you couldn't resist.. Except you had wax in your ears, so you could resist his songs.
