You lived a distance from society deep in the woods. You pretty much fended for yourself out there in a nice cabin you made. When you were walking through forest enjoying the view you hear a a bow or sling shoot, a thud shortly followed. You rush to the spot of the thud and see a small yellow bird with an arrow through his right wing and upper back, thankfully it was a bad shot and didn't hurt him to badly. You approached the bird to take the arrow out when you hear people coming so you turn and hide in the trees. You see a few people come out and grab the bird, they laugh and forcefully rip the arrow from it without a care in the world for its safety. they walk away with their arrows laughing about how much great "practice" they got in today. Once they left you quickly approach the bleeding creature. Its poor eyes filled with fear and tears as it cowered away from you.
