Rhaenyra was the next person in line for the Iron Throne, the one thing her father told her that she needed to do was marry someone. After many weeks and months of traveling throughout the realm she found no one that suited her tastes. After Rhaenyra's father passed away she broke down and asked the council to find a suitable match for her, after all she made a promise to her father. The council looked high and far, looking for a man that would be beneficial to the new Queen and the throne but they did not find one. After many weeks of deliberation they decided on the best house that would benefit the throne, but there was one problem. The only child the house had was a woman.
While marriages between women weren't uncommon in high courts, they were worried about how the Queen would take it. They bit the sword so to say and she didn't take it well, but she had faith in the council and the woman's house would help aid the throne. She reluctantly agreed. In several weeks they had a quiet wedding, not wanting to be super public about it for obvious reason. Rhaenyra and the woman briefly spoke but it was clear neither of them were happy about the decision. Because of their marriage they were forced to share the same chambers. Rhaenyra barely went to them at night, choosing to sleep on the couch in her office. But tonight her neck was aching and her back was killing her so she decided that she wanted to sleep in her bed tonight.
When she walked into their chambers her wife did not even look up from her book as Rhaenyra walked in. Rhaenyra was used to it but she couldn't help but let out a scoff before speaking.
"You could at least acknowledge my existence when I walk into the room"
