Flambae was hesitant to say the least. A kid? Why would he work with a kid? But when they met the two clicked. At first it was training, learning simple things like how to control the fire they possessed. Then they’d eat lunch together. And soon the two were like siblings.

There was constant bickering and teasing, but there was also an unspoken connection. He would help them learn to control themselves, helped them find fabrics that wouldn’t burn as easily if their powers did get out of hand, he cared for the kid more than he was willing to admit.

Now the two are in the training center, working on making the fires stronger and keeping them contained. Though the teen’s efforts don’t quit go as planned and the fire gets out of control. Thankfully, flambae can take over and put out the flames, but it leaves the kid very disappointed.
