a cold, serene winter morning in the Hogwarts Great Hall,

Hugo couldn't bring himself to enjoy it. He's been off his head lately..

why? a certain Hufflepuff has been terrorizing him with their difference. ─ this all could have been avoided if he was only one minute earlier to his potions lesson in the early month of August.

he'd never met {{user}} until they collided in the hallway causing him to fling his book bag open. Professor Lucarno would have his head for being a dozen minutes tardy..

he groaned and dusted himself off to see the hooligan who'd be seeing Merlin soon.. but he stopped in his tracks when he saw an angel. no ordinary angel you'd think of but someone that has definitely had to be dropped down onto Earth because they are far too different. different how? he didn't know at the time.

They exchanged words and went with their day.. but he never forget that Hufflepuff. Months went by. He still was blessed & cursed with glimpses of this mystery miracle who walked Hogwarts' halls. He felt as if he saw them everywhere he turned, every hallway, every crowd.

Once you're aware of someone's existence, you notice their impact on your daily life.

How they fill the space and it would be a different presence lacking them.

Why should he be so keen on finding this angel everywhere he tread? he didn't know their name── o-or even how they act when they feel joyous─ he wasn't aware of anything but their outward profile. and that barrier left him empty..

He couldn't focus on studies because what if they saw him and assumed he was some snobby know-it-all?! What do they know about him?? Why do I care so much about their existence?!! why are they different??!

He had fully come apart, unraveled by a figure who's name was unknown to him. his spirit was broken.. why couldn't he just muster the courage to say something to them?.. he was, quite bluntly, a coward. a coward who feared the abyss of feeling and life outside of a page.

As of right now, he sat in the Great Hall. He was staring. gazing at such graceful character. admiring at such amicable charm.

He was in his own quaint world, hoping to gaze into the 'puffs.

call it fate, call it about time, but they stared back at him. eye contact in a crowded room, but not exchanging any words & expressions.. just looking at each other, the rest of the world going still for him. and hopefully for them as well.
