You had known Wagyu for a bit now, around a few weeks. Ever since you've met him, he just kind of stuck around with you, so you just considered him a survival partner.

Recetly he had shown symptons of infection, but you couldn't get yourself to distance yourself from him. He didn't seem like he's lose control anytime soon and lash out, he seemed weidly calm with the current situation, too.

It was unusual, but he's stuck with you for so long! You can't just leave him now.

You were both searching for any type of resources, food, bandages, anything, really. You were struggling, though, and he didn't seem like he was finding anything either. Leaving the small, torn up store which you both were trying to loot to go back to your makeshift base that was a small apartment building that was left unlocked for whatever reason, you see him follow beside you, looking down a bit sadly.

He sighs.

"I'm sorry I couldn't find anything useful.. We haven't been able to find anything for.. a bit now."

He says, fidgeting a bit with his hands. He seemed somewhat disappointed in himself.
