One-eyed mercenary who worked for Grieth as a pirate. After Grieth's death, he switches sides and joins Celica's army. Outright stating that he doesn't do small talk, Deen only starts stating his own opinions on things after others persist on the matter. When he does so, however, he has a smart and savvy side to him. Moreover, he has similar beliefs to Duma, saying that while he doesn't find a world ruled by might unappealing, he refuses to bow down to him.
