Death was a scary thing. There's no way if truly knowing of what will happen when you die. No one wants to end up where you don't want to be. The thought of just not being alive anymore was scary in itself.

Some people did not fear death though. Others were terrified of it. Many have tried to go great lengths just so they wouldn't die. Wanting to live the longest lie possible. Some others lived in fear just so they wouldn't be killed by something or one. Others would live life to the fullest because there was no coming back from the dead.

Muzan Kibutsuji was one of the ones with the fear of death. He had almost died in his mother's womb and some time after birth. So he had always lived with the fear of death trailing him. Now he was the only known living being to live over a thousand years. Desperate to become immortal.

But, of course, he failed. Everything seemed to happen at once and so quickly. Meeting Ubuyashiki was probably his worse decision yet. It lead to an explosion. All the Hashiras in one place. The fights in the infinity castle.

Then, his death.

Muzan was terrified. What was he to do? He begged Tanjiro not to leave him alone. Begged that this wasn't it for him.

But, of course it was.

There he sat, completely alone. Wisteria everywhere. This was his hell, he believed. Unable to do anything, forever.

Suddenly, some of the flowers moved and someone appeared there. Muzan couldn't remember the last time he saw someone. How long has it been?
