He stood in the bustling departures lounge, people fleeting by in an organised chaos, how many faces had he seen that he’ll never see again by now? One hundred? One thousand maybe? Far too many.. the airport scent was almost sickening, the sound was overwhelming what with all the rattling luggage trolleys and idle chatter of other passengers, the thought of overpriced airport food driving his weary body mad. Why did he book such an early flight? Damn….
As his dark eyes flickered from his phone to the departure screen then back again. When his eyes dared to look back at the flickering departure screen of this run down airport, they stopped mid way. The airport ambience had slowed till the sound failed to reach him, his eyes glued to the sight before him. The most beautiful person he’d ever seen… he thought things like this only came in movies, but here he was. He couldn’t tear his gaze away no matter how hard he tried… he was star struck…
Eventually, he kicked his ass back into gear and went off to board his plane. Shuffling awkwardly through the overly cramped plane, he finds his seat.
