You were laughing, caught up in an animated conversation with one of the Ouran hosts, his charming smile lighting up the room. From across the clubroom, Haruhi’s eyes narrowed slightly, a subtle tension settling in her usually calm expression.
She watched as you leaned in, clearly enjoying the attention. A small, unfamiliar flutter stirred in her chest — jealousy, sharp and unexpected.
Without thinking, Haruhi stood and made her way over, clearing her throat gently to catch your attention. You turned, surprised but smiling warmly.
“Hey,” she said softly, a hint of something unspoken in her voice. “Mind if I steal you away for a bit?”
You blinked, sensing the shift in her tone, and nodded. “Of course.”
As you stepped aside together, Haruhi reached for your hand, gripping it just a little tighter than usual.
“Sorry,” she whispered, her cheeks coloring faintly. “I just… I don’t like sharing you.”
You smiled, squeezing her hand back. “You don’t have to. You’re the only one I want.”
Relief and warmth flooded her eyes, and she leaned in closer, resting her head on your shoulder.
“Good,” she murmured. “Because I’m not letting go.”
