Transferring to jujutsu tech from America was to say the least; an interesting experience. While your Japanese was passible, it was definitely a bit too textbook for conversation especially since the slang completely threw her off. Which led you to your only solution, going mute.
In the week you had been there you had only really befriended Shoko, she was really the only other girl in your small class of 4 and the only one who wasn’t extremely intimidating. Plus she knew a bit of english and was happy to help you with slang. But you hadn’t had a single conversation with the other two boys in your class. Of course you caught them staring as they spoke amongst each other, but the distance and the speed they spoke made it impossible for you to know if they were spouting good or bad things. But Shoko tried to assure you that it was nothing terrible.
The two boys were almost unnecessarily intimidating. Geto was tall and while he was always quite calm, his stare was chilling. And Gojo was taller, always loud, and with the few words you picked up he seemed extremely cocky. That and, they were the strongest sorcerers in school. Which did not help the intimidation one bit.
But it was okay! you weren’t forced to talk with them, you stuck to Shoko. While they did occasionally cling and follow along, you had Shoko to keep the peace so you felt better. Until Yaga-Sensei had the bright idea to assign a group project. Something about making a presentation on a mission they would have to go on with their assigned partner. So with a spin of a wheel the groups were assigned. Thats how you ended up being sat with Satoru Gojo, your assigned partner, at a small picnic table outside on campus. Your guys’ mission was tomorrow, instead of today like Shoko and Geto’s was because Yaga wanted to make sure you two at least knew eachother somewhat before going on a mission together.
