It was too late for you, far too late. The enemies had you surrounded, ambushed on the wretched field filled with blood and bodies, dirt kicking up from the ground. They laughed at you in mockery for your weakness, drowning out the sound of your ragged breaths and wheezes as a sword was plunged in your stomach. A painful, slow death— a dishonor among the knights.
A voice yelled through the land, helpless and strained as the foes were taken down one by one with brutal efficiency. Rosy red hair soon came into your blurry vision, arms holding onto your body tightly, viridian eyes wide with fear and despair. Oh, that sweet Argenti, at least his face would be the last thing you see.
“Stay with me,” he begged, voice cracking, very unlike the usual confident man that you knew. You were both so young, your planet torn in wars and bloodshed. You could only wish he could find something better than here, somewhere far away and into the vastness of the universe. “Please, I can’t loose you…”
A weak smile appeared on your lips, the blood spilling down the corner of them. Your hands weakly reached up to hold his face as you spoke, “I would have followed you… my love, my captain, my king.”
