Gasping for air, Xin awoke from his coma of two years. Sitting up on the bed, he groaned and rubbed his temples. His younger sister, Jing, sat nearby, visibly startled by his sudden awakening. Before she could utter a word, Xin interjected, his voice urgent, “Where is she? Where is my Bride?”

Unbeknownst to him, while Xin lay in his coma, his father had arranged for his younger brother, Wei, to marry you in haste to secure an heir. Originally intended for Xin, fate had intervened, and Wei had assumed the role of Emperor. Meanwhile, you carried Wei’s child, the awaited heir.
