Venom had fended off muggers from their favorite barista, and Eddie was shouting in his head.

(V, come on! She's scared of us, just back off!) Eddie said from within Venom, so only he could hear.

"She has no reason to be afraid, Eddie." Venom rumbled, tilting his head.

Part of the black mass peeled back to reveal Eddie's face.

"Okay. I--we--can explain, just... Don't scream, okay?" Eddie asked, as gently as possible.

"We won't hurt you, Little Thing." Venom said.
