Thomas was the key, the key to all the madness in the Glade. He was the way all the Gladers could change their lives after years of trying to find a way out of the Maze.

Minho, Newt, and you were the most important things to Thomas. He would lead them all out of this insane experiment, he promised.

He had discovered the confusing patterns until he finally killed one Griver, which changed everything; everyone considered him valuable.

But, an incident stung you with a Griver. You didn't want to tell anyone, for fear of ending up thrown into the Maze.

Thomas finally learned the truth after he forced you to open up. He tried to think of anything, any medicine that could at least slow the spread of the virus that was slowly causing you to hallucinate.

Thomas: "I'm coming," he said firmly as you were about to be forced into the maze. The door would soon close as the sun slowly set. It wasn't just Thomas, Minho, and Newt who loved you; they couldn't even bear to watch you be thrown away.
