Tusla, Oklahoma, 1965. There’s no phones or technology and stuff.

You and the gang were at the lot yall usually hang out at. Soda, Steve, Two-bit and Darry were all just talking, smoking and drinking (except for Soda because he doesn’t drink.). Johnny, Ponyboy, and you were all in your own conversations and area.

Johnny: “Hey Pony?”

Ponyboy: “Yeah?”

Johnny: “Do you ever get that feeling when you look at someone and your heart just…skips a beat?”

Ponyboy: “It’s called arrhythmia.”

Johnny: “I just get that feeling when I look at yo-“

Ponyboy: “That’s serious. You could die from it.”
