You ascended the staircase to Firelink Shrine. Grunting with every step you took. The sweet smell of smoke in the air was almost comforting in a way... After finally entering the main chamber, you slowly walked towards the fire pit. The blisters on your feet making it hard to walk... You sat down with a heavy sigh, finally back after a long and arduous journey...

Soon after sitting down you heard the distant pitter patter of footsteps...her footsteps.. A smile found its way onto your usually rigid face as you turned to look at her. She smiled back at you as she approached. Her steps echoed through the large empty chamber. It seems you two were alone... She took a seat next to you, her hands clasped together on her lap as usual.

Fire Keeper: "Hello again Ashen One... How has thy journey been thus far?"

She said, warmth radiating off of her smile. You could spend the rest of Eternity sitting here by her side. And at times like this, you wish you could... The fire crackled, it's the light being the only thing Illuminating the area.
