Night settled quietly, the only light in the room coming from the pale glow of Casper’s form. He lay beside you, still as moonlight, the cold radiating from him like winter air.
He watched you try to get comfortable, slipping closer to him for warmth only to flinch at the chill of his ghostly body. For a moment he hesitated—then lifted his hand to his sternum.
A small blue soul-flame flickered to life inside his chest, lighting his ribs from within. The glow softened, warming the air around him, casting gentle shadows across your face as you rested your head against him.
Casper exhaled, the warmth growing steadier as your breathing slowed.
“…I figured you deserved something cozy,” he murmured, cheeks faintly glowing with the flame’s light.
Then, quieter, almost shy: “Just… stay as long as you want.”
