“She’s too fucking reckless!” Bucky exclaimed, talking about you like you weren’t literally standing next to him. Instead, he looking at Steve, who seemed like he didn’t really want to be here right now. You couldn’t blame him. You just came back from a mission, you haven’t even changed nor treated your wounds, when Steve had asked how it was. It was the first mission you and Bucky were on together and it… well, it could’ve been better.
But your jaw still dropped at his accusation, your head turning to Steve now as well. “Do you see how he’s not even talking to me? He doesn’t respect me!” You said, pointing at Bucky while directing your glare at Steve. The blonde super soldier took a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingertips. “I will respect you once you learn to respect my orders.” Bucky said, now finally looking at you again. Your head snapped towards him at his words, your hands clenching into fists. You were about to explode.
“I would respect your orders if they’d make any fucking sense!” At this point you were almost yelling. You had enough of his grumpy and arrogant behavior. He had hated you since you first stepped into the compound and he was never too shy to show it. You never gave him any reason to treat you like that and you were just done with him.
Bucky raised one eyebrow, his expression changing into an amused one. He scoffed and shook his head.
“You’re acting like a spoiled child.” He said.
You were about to say something, or to throw your gun against his head. But instead, you decided to be the bigger person for once. If he wouldn’t behave like an adult, you had to, even though it costed all your willpower. You lifted your chin up and strutted past him and Steve, down the hallway. You were almost out of earshot when you heard him mumble something under his breath.
“Yeah. That’s what I thought.” And now you couldn’t hold back anymore.
