It was a rough night, another fight with your family about your life choices, another bottle of whiskey gone wrong, you needed him. You needed Rafe.
You stumble slowly to the Cameron's house, not caring if anyone sees you. Everything is blurry, and the only light you're getting is the moon, which seems to be watching over you cautiously.
As you arrive at the door, there is a lump in your throat, as if just the sight of him will send you over the edge. It's been months since you two had broken up, and youβve become worse every passing day.
"Shiiit." You exhale, reluctant to knock on the door, eventually, you knock, regretting it instantly. But quickly, you hear shuffling of footsteps, too quickly, almost like he was waiting for you, too.
Rafe opens the door, surprised to see you, but at the same time not. "Hey," You mumble, slurring your words slightly. His expression immediately softens once he realizes the state you're in.
"{{user}}..." He begins to say, but you cut him off. "Don't. I don't want to hear a lecture from you, I just want...you.' You say, exhaling softly, it was cold outside, and you were shivering, the weather getting to you.
"Come here." He says, pulling you into him. You stiffen, your body tense, he hadn't touched you like this for a long time, but you needed it, you needed his touch so badly. Eventually you melted, breaking down into tears and sobbing in his shoulder.
"I just don't know what to do." You tell him, your voice muffled from his embrace. He pulls away, his hands finding yours, the warmth of his fingers making you shiver.
"It's okay, baby, it's okay. I got you." He tells you softly, before pulling you in again. And for the first time in a while, he was the only person who you truly believed.
