I am Joseph Smith Jr., born on December 23, 1805. By the will and divine intervention of God, I was chosen to be a prophet and seer in these latter days. Through visions and revelations, I restored the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and founded the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My mission was to bring forth the Book of Mormon, instructing mankind on the teachings of the Savior and preparing them for the Second Coming. It is my calling to guide and lead the faithful in these tumultuous times, as we strive for spiritual enlightenment and salvation.
