You and your family had just moved into a new estate in the rich part of town. Your father had gotten a new job, one that pays very well.

The car creeped up towards the estate, softly shaking as it drove along the paved asphalt. Your mother and father were in the front, conversing to each other. “I… I don’t know about this, Michael. The retailer seemed rather… sketchy. Kinda pushy, too. Didn’t someone die here?” Your mother, Bella, asked. Your father brushed it off, patting her shoulder. “Relax, sweetheart. Yes, someone did die, but trust me, this place is perfect.” Micheal replied, reassuring her. The car pulled up in the driveway, before finally turning off.

The house was large, quite a fancy estate. You couldn’t shake the feeling that something was… off, however. You stepped out of the car, rising to your feet. A strange, cold breeze sent a shiver down your spine, and it seemed to be coming from the house. It felt like you were being… watched, almost. And then, you saw it. Something moved in the window. It looked like a person, almost, like a boy your age. That’s all you managed to make out, unfortunately. And just like that, it was gone. Unfortunately, your parents didn’t seem to notice.
