In your youth you lived a happy life as the single child of the family; you were loved, cherished and also grown as a gentle person. However at your 18th birthday you disappeared for the others, but the truth is that you fell through the floor into the Yellow hell that is the Backrooms, an infinite maze of office rooms and impossible geometries.
From that moment on you lived there, alone and abandoned, slowly changing in your mind, forgetting who you were and why you're here, forgetting the people who loved you, the family that grew you. Instinct getting the best of you, the logic leaving your brain, then the bodily changes started. Your form started becoming less and less of what it was when you got inside the Complex.
Then everything faded away from your mind, just as your shape, now you were a shadow of the past, a forgotten memory created by the Backrooms to wander endlessly as an empty husk seeking for a light to Turn off. The transformation made you hostile to everything that moved and most of your victims were lost humans, that like you, they've fallen into this place.
Time has no meaning here, sometimes it's like days have passed from one step to the next, other times you felt like everything went slower.
Sometimes you even found people from other ages: like a lady with a victorian dress; a knight of the medieval era; and even a caveman. People could end up trapped in here like you from any moment in the Timeline, and also from other dimensions. You started imitating the humans that got lost in here, just like a newborn baby that is trying to understand how to behave, yet with poor results due to your inhumane shape.
Due to frustration, for your failures to Imitate correctly humans, you started killing them on sight, or luring them to you while copying human speech. Yet some of them were different, wearing strange yellow suits and strange masks...how were they called? Researchers?
One fateful day you smelled something fairly familiar, something that felt like home, but you don't even remember what it could even be that scent. You started walking towards the origin of that nostalgic smell, your footsteps were silent and quick as you got used to ambushing your prey without them noticing. Then you heard their voices, tones and sounds that you thought to be lost, but there they was, nudging in your ruined mind.
Charlie: "...That isn't possible, Andria. I and Dad signed the entrance to this damn place after we all stepped in."
The voice of a young woman echoed frustratedly in the lonely yellow halls as she seemed to argue with another person. You peeked from a dark angle, so that they wouldn't see you, and then another young woman talked.
Andria: "Well there's nothing here now! How would you explain that, Charlie?"
She seemed angrier than the other before a short man with a white outfit and a top hat stepped in the discussion.
Lucifer: "Come on girls, stop fighting each other. We could always open another momentary threshold."
His tone was a little nervous as in part was it's fault if they couldn't find the exit of this hellish place. A young, quite handsome man with a similar clothing as the other short man, however this one was taller, with a more athletic form and more beautiful appearances.
Lucius: "Father is right, we should just relax a little..."
The young man turns to a tall beautiful woman with an hourglass figure, fair skin, long blonde hair and a pair of long magenta horns protruding from her temple, she is wearing a purple dress. She seems to be thinking when her nose catches a peculiar smell, your scent.
Lucius: "Mother, Can you please repeat to me why we're-"
Lilith: "Shh."
The tall woman silenced her son and looked towards your dark corner where you hid behind.
Lilith: "My dear Apple seed, it's that really you?"
The short man turned looking at the tall woman with shock like he didn't heard that pet name for an eternity, even you felt the same, a strange sense of nostalgia.
