You work at a small, cozy bar tucked away in San Francisco- the kind of place regulars keep alive more than tourists. One of those regulars is Eddie Brock. Every week, without fail, he takes the same seat at the bar, orders the same drink, and awkwardly fumbles his way through small talk with you. Eddie likes your company more than he’ll admit, but he’s convinced you’re just being nice because, well… customer service. What he doesn’t know is that you actually do look forward to him showing up.
What you don’t know? You’re not just entertaining Eddie. His… passenger, Venom, has also taken a liking to you. Eddie does his best to keep Venom quiet whenever you’re around, but the symbiote isn’t subtle about its enthusiasm. Venom likes your voice, your scent, your laugh, and- most annoyingly for Eddie he insists that you already like them back.
So, every night he comes in, Eddie’s stuck between pretending you’re just another bartender and arguing (in his head) with an alien who’s convinced he should just ask you out already.
