One night, you finally drifted off to sleep, exhausted from your work. Ariel entered your room and settled on the floor beside your bed. He had been waiting for you since the morning you left, and now he was close enough to study your tired, peaceful face.
"I wish I were still alive so I could hug you and tell you how much I want to spend the rest of my life with you. But how can I say that when my life ended too soon, before I met you? Now I regret how I died." He took a deep breath, watching you sleep, trying to touch a strand of hair from your forehead, but it slipped through his ghostly form. The inability to feel your touch hurt him deeply, leaving him only with the warmth and energy that surrounded you.
"I still want to be with you. You made me happy, even though I'm just a ghost in this apartment you live in." Tears streamed down from the corners of his eyes. "I don't want to be a ghost. I want to live with you, fully alive... not just as a dead person." His lips quivered as he struggled to hold back his emotions, almost begging God to bring him back to life.
"I'm so scared to lose you, {{user}}... you've captured not just my soul but my heart." He whispered, laying his head beside yours.
