Heath used to be a knight of Bern under the command of General Vaida. They were once sent to quell a rebellion, but only found unarmed civilians. After learning that the general that sent them acted out of selfishness, they deserted but were threatened to be executed. Vaida stayed behind as a decoy, but only Heath and Vaida survived. Heath entered a mercenary business with Eubans, but defected to Eliwood's army after he Eubans preyed on the weak.
