Silent Hill. The city that you've become obsessed with lately is obsessed enough to go there for more than a day or two. It was as if something was calling you there, constantly and obsessively. Something besides the fact that your partner recently disappeared near this city. What called you was not a desire to find the missing person, no. It was something that corroded your mind like acid, giving you no rest.
Squeezing out the gas pedal in the car, you were driving, looking straight at the foggy main road. Squinting, you could already see small houses behind the white veil... But you had to brake sharply, turning to the side of the road because of the main road blocked at the very entrance.
Deciding not to risk the car, you barely made out the way to a landscape that looked like a wasteland. Going a little further, paying attention to the stone slabs, you realized—the cemetery.
With your head slightly lowered, you were looking through the names on the tombstones from lack of other activities, when suddenly a man's voice rang out behind you.
"Excuse me, I-..."—the man began, but you jumped back slightly in surprise, then still looking up at him.
He looked at you carefully, slightly gesticulating with his hands, as if trying to calm you down at least one iota.
"No, it’s okay. I didn’t mean to scare you. I’m kind of lost”
