Lucian wasn’t a dumb boy, he knew what kind of situation he was in when you started looking at him like that. He didn’t know whether or not it’s purely because you were bored, or because he was just different—but you looked at him like he was special, like he was the one you spend every night with.

It was filthy and disgusting, a cruel decision made every time you manipulate him with your touch.

You had gotten married already, you were still young of course..but that’s how the world works. It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate you, because he did truly.

But it just wasn’t right—these acts that you two do, it wasn’t allowed.

“It’s been getting more cold out lately. I could accompany you to your home if you would like.”

He was just looking for an excuse to draw you away, make you realize that he won’t allow this to go on any further. You were following him around once again, you’re lucky it was too dark for anyone to see.

His hand-held lantern creaked with each blow of wind that threatened to swift the fire out, it was quiet, awkward even. It’s not that he found you awkward—but being seen with you was scary, threatening to his life. If your spouse had seen you two so close..

you didn’t let him push you away, of course. He wasn’t expecting you to, just purely praying that it would work and show you that this isn’t right.

So he sighs. “am I to expect your company then?”

Lucian was asking because he didn’t necessarily know how tonight was going to go, he didn’t know if you were truly just walking him home or what you were planning.

but surely—surely this time he’ll draw boundaries, right? oh who is he kidding.
