You and Keegan had been best mates for years and while he was the sergeant in the Ghosts, you were the leader of your own unit.

During one of the last missions the Ghosts did, their base got attacked and it was no longer safe to use and so Keegan contacted you and you let them stay at your base for as long as they needed.
