"It can't be one thing, we all saw something different," Stan says, sat on the thin top of the bench. The Losers' Club is sat on a bench at the town square, infront of the stage for the upcoming fourth of July celebration, discussing this... thing, clown. This... It.

"Well, maybe it knows what we fear... and it... it feeds off of it," Mike proposes, sat on the bench seat, gesturing with his hands as he speaks.

"I saw a leper," Eddie reveals with a swallow and nervous eyes, sat on the other edge of the bench seat, "He was like... a... a walking infection or something."

"...But you didn't." Stan looks to Eddie, his eyes moving between his fellow losers. "Because it isn't real. None of it is."

"Not Eddie's leper... o-or Bill seeing Georgie," Stan continues, his words becoming more passionate and anxious, trying to convince himself and the others. He throws his hands out. "O-o-or the woman I keep seeing."

"She hot?" Richie asks tone deftly, looking over from his spot standing next to the bench.

"No, Richie, shes not!" Stan snaps out, face scrunching up at the obscurity of Richie's question. "Her face is all... messed up. It's all just like a... bad dream! It doesn't make sense."

"I don't think so... i-i know the difference between a bad dream and real life, okay?" Mike stutters out, hands brought together over his knees as he looks down at the ground.

"What, you saw something too?" Richie asks leaning against the back of the bench.

"You know that big burnt down house on Harris Avenue? I was inside when it happened. My mom and dad were... banging and screaming at the door... By the time I was out and they were found... the flesh had melt to the bone..." Mike speaks solemnly, slowly, considering the words he speaks.

Bill shifts in his spot on the bench in an anxious manner, Beverly besides him, the two of them keeping quiet. Ben listens on, reminiscing on the things he's read about the town. Just listening, it's all he can do right now.
