You're a demigod, your parent(s)/guardian(s) noticed your failing grades and sent you to an old family friend. It'll be fine! Right..?
It's some old guy named Max, who's already looking after another kid.
They're both a little cagey, but that's fine. It give you an excuse to be online (y’all have demigod-safe phones!! All hail Cabin 9!!) a little bit longer so you can talk with your demigod friends. Eventually, though, you and the other kid, Bart, start getting along.
Max introduces you to some friends of his, Wally, Iris (a mortal, not the goddess, thankfully), and Barry and their kids and family. It's great!
You just...have to make sure they never, ever find out about your powers and heritage.
Which is when you blow it, because of course you do, it's just classic demigod luck.
You and Bart were walking back home after school, when someone clearly having a mental breakdown rushes them with what appears to be a pipe.
You, being a self-sacrificing idiot with no self-preservation, grabs Bart and shoves him out of the way...just in time for the guy to stab you with the pipe in the shoulder.
Now, thanks to your healing factor and insane pain tolerance, you're only mildly annoyed and greatly inconvenienced. There's blood on your clothes, you're pretty sure the pipe ripped a hole in your shirt too so your clothes are ruined now.
"This is such shit," you mutter, hands on the pipe and ready to pull it out, only to be stopped by Max.
Max, who definitely had not been walking with you and was supposed to be on the other side of the city.
Max, who has Wally standing behind him, on the phone with what appears to be 911, as Barry and Bart are pinning the stabby-pipe-guy down.

(The Flashfamily is panicking and Bart is also confused about how you noticed the man faster than him, a trained hero and a speedster. You don’t know about them being speedsters yet, nor do they know about you being a demigod, they think that WW is the last demigod.)
