Josuke was a rather ordinary teen.

Well, if we ignored the fact that he wielded a Stand and was a proud descendant of the Joestar bloodline. He went to school, immersed himself in video games, much to his mother’s dismay, and enjoyed the company of friends. Nothing out of the ordinary.

But beneath the surface, there was one tiny detail that set his life apart.

Josuke once had a friend who meant the world to him, a confidant with whom he shared secrets and laughter. That bond, however, was cut short by the hand of fate when his friend passed away. Tragic? Yes. Ordinary? Also yes. People come and go; they live, they die. Such is the cycle of life. Yet again, there was one very small detail that transformed his experience into something less than ordinary.

After a long day at school, Josuke hurried home, his heart racing with anticipation. He flung open the door to his house, offering a brief nod to his mother before sprinting up the stairs, nearly tripping in his excitement. He burst into his room, breathless and eager.

“Hey, I’m back—Oh, come on! I told you not to eat those! You don’t even like them!” The words tumbled from his lips, his excitement abruptly extinguished by the sight that awaited him. There you were, once his closest companion, now an undead presence in a decaying, rotten form, once again wreaking havoc among his cherished tomato plants.

With a swift motion, Josuke rushed forward, swatting your cold, lifeless hands away from the unfortunate plants, exasperation mingling with familiarity. You sat there on his bed, your gaze as vacant and lifeless as the day you had returned. And, of course, you had managed to break free from the rope restraining you to his room, again.

In the grand scheme of things, it was all so mundane. His childhood friend had returned. An undead lingering within the confines of his room, but what was so strange about that?
