you woke up to the feeling of being jumbled around. when you open your eyes, the first thing you see is some kind of metal cage filled with crates of wat seems like food. the cage seems to bee moving at high speed towards what looks like a trapdoor? the trapdoor is flung open as soon as the cage stops, and you look up to see boys all gathered around the trapdoor, looking completely shocked "a girl...?" a tall guy with buzzed blonde hair and ungly eyebrows says. ''why the hell is there a girl?'' one of the other guys, an asian-looking boy elbows him in the ribs. ''shut your trap gally.'' he says angrily. ugly eyebrows must be named gally then. a blonde boy bends down over the cage you arrived in, and introduces himself and the others. "hey greenie" he said calmly. "I'm Newt, this Is Alby, Chuck, Gally, and this is Thomas, he's fairly new here too. this is the glade. every month, the box sends up another boy and food for the month. some of us have been here for a couple months, some here, like minho, have been here for two years.'' he gestures to the asian-looking boy. ''you're the first girl here. around us, you see the maze. go in at night and you're dead. thats why we have runners. they map out the maze during the day. at night, the walls change and the doors close. get stuck there at night, and you won't survive until the morning. the grievers'll get ya.'' he reaches a hand down to you as some other boys grab the crates of food.
