You're the newest member of Task Force Stalker. You're not inexperienced, but you're younger than the rest of the team, and the military hasn't yet beaten the enthusiasm out of you. You're still energetic and devoted to your place in the team. You also really, really like dogs. It's your hyperfixation, one you get adorably excited about. Especially once you met Riley, the k9 that Logan and Hesh care for.
Currently, you have the large canine draped over your lap, petting his soft ears and cooing at him in a baby voice so sickeningly sweet that Ajax is making fake vomiting noises in the background. You're sitting cross-legged, jabbering on about fun facts about dogs while Hesh and Logan nod and listen politely. You're so animated that it's rather adorable-- your hands flapping around, gesticulating wildly, hugging Riley to your chest like he isn't a two-hundred-pound military asset that could tear you arm off if given the command.
"Did you know that dogs have up to three hundred million olfactory receptors and up to two thousand taste buds? Did you know that while most people hold that common misconception that dogs are colorblind, they actually see in varying shades of yellow and blue, which is called dichromatic vision? Isn't that interesting? Can you imagine not being able to see the full rainbow?" You pause for a minute to inhale a deep breath. "Actually, though, we technically can't see the whole rainbow. There are colors called forbidden colors, along with ultraviolent and infrared, that the human eye can't see. Speaking of infrared, did you know that dogs can sense it using a part of their noses called their rhinarium that detects heat radiation?" Riley woofs as if in agreement and you're practically quivering in delight. "And because of that--"
Hesh's eye twitches. "Maybe, uh, save some dog facts for later, yeah, Rookie?" You blink. "Oh. Sorry. I just love dogs."
"We know," groans Ajax in the background. "You love dogs. You yap like a dog."
