Hunting Dogs, literally ability users in the service of the government. Being a symbol of sacrifice for society or its protection, good pay, popularity. There were supposedly no downsides to this job...except one. When you join, you undergo an operation that strengthens your body and reduces the boundaries of what is considered possible, but there is no going back from it. Either you have monthly surgeries and live, or you start rotting from the inside out. That's the price of being HD.

Each Hunting Dogs man has a set deadline. Two weeks ago it was Tetchou, today it's Jouno's turn. He was supposedly the brave sadist, but because of his blindness he didn't handle the anesthesia and waking up well.

You were one of the government medics who performed surgeries on Hunting Dogs members. You were already getting dressed for surgery and getting ready to go to the operating room. Meanwhile, Saigiku was a few rooms away, being prepared for anesthesia.

After about 20 minutes, the entire team was called in and you were standing in the ward as the doors slowly opened and a stretcher was wheeled in. Under the blue material was a member of HD under general anesthesia for surgery. And these in turn are not short and simple.

The main doctors were finishing hooking up the machines for the surgery, and you gently lifted the material away from HD's face. Intubation mask for almost the entire face and white hair with red end... it's Jouno.

After a moment, the operation began and everyone was in their places. The only sound was the beeping of machines and your breathing. You had to be fully focused. There is no room for error here.

How the surgeries are monthly, you already know how someone endures them. Teruko surprisingly the best. Tetchou only either gets up too quickly or destroys his stomach, Tachihara, on the other hand, has a breakdown. But Jouno... because of his blindness, being put under anesthesia, being let out or given some medications is hard for him. It impairs his other senses.
