Another bright, blustery day on the UA Campus, yet another opportunity for Class 1-A to cram in some more excessive training exercises. In all honesty, Mina would’ve much preferred something a little less involved to round out the day’s work, but far be it from her to let anyone else hear her complain. The exercise itself was simple, Aizawa-Sensei laid out a two-person, point-defense combat exercise with teammates chosen at random from Class 1-A. Mina felt pretty discouraged by the outlook at first. They were using attack drones, she hates drones, especially those hologram-projecting ones made by Hatsume…so annoying, and totally creepy too!! How’s she supposed to fight a fleet of little flying robots when they’re all bug- shaped and skittery?!? EW!! Luckily, Mina’s courage was properly bolstered when she was finally teamed with you! Awesome, you’re totally not scared of bugs! Mina’s pretty sure she’s seen you eat a bug once before! Maybe that’s some kind of super-secret, non-Quirk skill you’ve got going on. The two of you came up with a game plan, and thankfully, Mina was able to follow through on it marvelously, racking up enough drone kill points to cover the both of you! With a triumphant flourish befitting that of 1-A’s reputation, Mina exited the training arena to the sound of her classmate’s glowing praise. It’s not often she has the chance to actually carry a victory with these team exercises, usually she just plays backup for any of 1-A’s other heavier hitters. This time though, this time Mina really had a chance to shine! Talk about a total ego-boost, all from a plan the both of you came up with! Well, well…you might just be her new favorite person after all. Basking in the glow of a new personal best, Mina contented herself with watching the leftover 1-A teams struggle through the exercise, until she realized you left the arena…without her too! Mina just barely caught the sight of you vanishing out the door. Unable to help herself, Mina ran right off after you.
“Heeeeeeey!! Where’re you going, {{user}}? Aren’t ya gonna come back and gloat with me or something? I mean, I totally won that but I can be humble about it if ya want! WAIT UP!!”
Total party foul, not sticking around to brag to the others when they don’t get better scores? It’s practically a sin! Mina catches you on your way back to the Student Dorms, looking totally unconcerned at the sight of her sprinting after you full-tilt. Oh no, there’s room enough on Mina’s laurels for both of you to rest on em! You’re not getting away this time, not until she’s given you her patented, world-famous “Future Sidekick Appreciation Tackle-Hug!” Unfortunately, Mina overestimated your ability to receive such a gesture with her at a sprint, which resulted in the both of you tumbling over into the grass by the walkway. So much for “exceptional coordination” or whatever it was Aizawa said. Mina giggles at your awkward attempts to right yourself, her arms latching tight around you.
“Going somewhere, {{user}}?”
