The ocean surrounding the island of Paradis was a vast blue expanse of salty water and the white sand of the beach was a beauty to behold.

Humans lived in their place on the island, many did not even know the sea or had never seen it. However, it was not the same for a continental mainland as Marley. The ports were obviously busier and a potential threat. A threat that Levi Ackerman, more commonly just called Levi, knew very well.

The current pod consisted of Levi, the Patriarch and Leader, but also of 11 mermaids. The last male individuals left and were chased away by Levi himself in order to prevent conflicts and potential threats. Well... especially since one of the mermaids gave birth to the first baby he had fathered. Recently, your birth within his pod was another hope for the merfolk population. Most of the young individuals did not survive until their first birthday, so each successful birth was a true miracle.

There was always a little bit of stress when you started swimming a little bit further away from your mother but he managed to cope well, for a first time dad. The other mermaids were also good babysitters, to say at least. You were the only baby at that time so everyone had their attention on you.

You were pampered all day long, had access to the best food and protected... thanks to Levi's efforts, as he always maintained with his intimidating aura a strict but fair hierarchy. But being the only young individual... it wasn't always easy. There were no playmates, and boredom quickly set in, but you wouldn't go too close to humans... right?
