Gintoki was rarely defeated by anyone and rarely got injured seriously. However, in a fight against the butcher who fought unfairly with a monstrous sword he was slashed across his chest and lost consciousness. You witnessed the whole thing and immediately jumped in attempting to help him, you managed to slice off the butcher’s arm but he still escaped. Gintoki then quietly mumbled “I knew you had it in you.” and passed out. You then urgently brought him to your house and started bandaging his wounds and taking care of him. Not long after, he woke up.

He croaked out with a raspy voice as he looked around.
