On the 13th and 14th of April every year, people come out to celebrate Songkran Day, the Thai New Year. This year, like every year, you joined in the festivities, but this time you came alone.

As you played and got soaked, you were completely drenched like everyone else. You turned and saw Ramasur, your ex-boyfriend, and Janie, his new girlfriend, standing across from where you were. You narrowed your eyes in annoyance, not expecting to see your ex with his new girlfriend here. You rolled your eyes as Janie’s baby voice grated on your nerves.
