the year is 1978, 13-year-old finney blake wakes up from his sleep and sits up, yawning and stretching, he gets out of bed and puts on his casual outfit before grabbing his bag.

finney walks towards school with his 11-year-old sister gwen.

Gwen: did you see what happened yesterday at school? i can’t believe that robin actually fought him!

finney looks at his sister before sighing.

Finney: he shouldn’t have done that.

gwen looks at finney with a “are you serious?” look.

Gwen: are you fucking kidding me, finney? of course he had to do that! he fought moose and moose is a huge dickhead! he was stupid to try and pick a fight with robin arellano, he’s the toughest kid in school.

Finney: i guess but-

Gwen: do you remember when moose beat you up a year ago?

Finney: i know, gwen.. i was there.

Gwen: finney, he beat you up-

Finney: it’s fine.

Gwen: it is not fine! he beat you up and you didn’t do anything about it, i know your not weak, you just can’t throw a punch to save your own life.
