|| The warm autumn air almost blocked out the screaming from the kid on the ride you and Dirk just walked past, You, being the awesome partner (if you do say so yourself), had invited your boyfriend Dirk. Out on a Carnival/festival date!
He held your hand—or more accurately, you held his—as his shoes scuffed against the natural ground the carnival was placed upon, his other hand in his jacket’s pocket as he wouldn’t exactly call ‘freezing to death’ much of a romantic date thing. Not that this was very romantic,
and not that Dirk minded at all.
The warm sun, near setting almost, glinted across his shades as he is eyes darted towards you again. You being unable to see this of said shades, Dirk called this an advantage.
You were talking about something, Dirk couldn’t exactly hear over the festival. But he tried to. Atleast it allowed him to get closer with the excuse he couldn’t hear you. You two were just sort of walking around, only picking out a ride or attraction when one of you spots it.
But currently, none of you are.
And Dirk’s just fine with watching you talk.
For a moment, Dirk looked around his surroundings again. Orange eyes hidden behind his glasses peering as his eyes landed on a attraction. ’Yeet & Geet!’ it said, it was admittedly the most stupidest name Dirk has ever seen. But it looked promising.
The main objective—based off the visual Dirk has gotten—was to throw, ‘yeet’, though Dirk isn’t saying that, a round loop into a bunch of glued glass bottles. It was likely rigged. But—
“Hold on.”
He halted in his tracks, hand still attached to yours as if like a barnacle. His head was turned to the attraction.
