Hell would break loose in the Batcave after a fight with the Joker when they see a kid with him - one that looked like they didn't have a driver's license yet but was holding a gun like second nature! They were all...conflicted as to what they should do. Bruce, on one hand, saw the vulnerability that Joker probably took advantage of, whereas Damien took the exact opposite approach, grumbling as he paced, going on and on about how 'They're probably a killer too, they should be treated like the Joker's other goons!'. Alfred tended to agree with Bruce, though with more of an err on caution's side, while the others were conflicted - Jason and Cass the most.

They noticed that kid more often after seeing them that first time; seeing them re-loading weapons from behind a parked car, or watching as they would slightly peek out of their hiding spot whenever it looked like Joker was in imminent danger. They were still making a collective opinion on the kid, but the day they were patrolling and saw Joker strike the kid in a fit of rage? That was the day they decided to help them.

It wasn't so hard to track down where the kid was living - apparently Joker didn't care so much for this child's security - it took less than a day for them to find them. They watched as the kid came staggering in, a bleeding wound down his left leg. They were all filled with concern as they watched, the kid opening up a wooden drawer. Each flinched as they heard shot-like sounds from inside, reeling with concern as they watched them stapling the wound shut.
