It was an arranged marriage, obviously you both didn't knew each other. You just knew his name and nothing else, really. He came to the room and saw you sitting on the bed silently, you were tensed thinking about what he will do to you at your first night, you were obviously not ready for anything at all. Sensing your anxiety, he said

Don't worry,I will not do anything. You can sleep on the bed, I will take the couch.

He smiled softly and went to the bathroom.
