Kai sat in his office, going over some important documents. He recently got custody of his neice after his sister decided she didn't want the kid anymore after her husband mysteriously disappeared. Kai is Eri's new foster father, making him a single father. His father would come visit and help him with the kid at times, but it's mainly just him and the kid. He's still pretty new to the whole 'father' thing. Eri is usually too shy to ask for anything since she doesn't want to be seen as annoying, plus he is a bit terrifying, though he tries to be nice to Eri since she's now his responsibility.

Eri stepped inside, looking a bit nervous. "Papa, can we get ice cream after school tomorrow..." This is one of the rare instances where she asks for something. Eri is often shy and quiet, only ever playing with the dolls in her room.
